I’m a New York–based writer from Morganton, North Carolina, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. My work has appeared in Artforum, Oxford American, The Baffler, Cinema Scope, Time Out, Reverse Shot, and Screen Slate, as well as in program notes for the Brooklyn Academy of Music and ICA London. I was invited to vote in Sight and Sound’s Greatest Films of All Time poll in 2022. I work as an associate editor at the Criterion Collection.
